Daisy, Daisy, Give Me Your Answer, Do

What can I say?  I babysit a lot.  Children's songs are always floating through my brain.

A while back I became hooked on the idea of needing a new scent.  I had been wearing Burberry for Women Eau de Parfum for like, forever (but seriously, since I was seventeen, that is a lot of life transitioning to stick with one scent).  So I started hunting around, determined to make a well-researched decision.  I tried a number of different products, and I'll do a quick rundown of those in a post soon, but I want to focus on the scent I selected.  Much to my surprise, it ended up being Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Parfum.

I was surprised because I hadn't gone in much for his other fragrances, although my sister is a big fan of Lola.  Scent aside, there was just something about the visual presentation that I found far too aggressive for my tastes.  But, I decided to give Daisy a shot after narrowing down what I wanted out of a perfume and discovering that it fit the criteria on paper.  Much like myself, it is very flowery, but not cloying, and also has some fruity notes mixed into it.  Another note that attracted me to the scent, which I suspect is not something most people think of when they smell it, is that it reminds me a little bit of the smell of bananas.  I love bananas.

Yeah.  Anyway.

In terms of lasting power, I selected the Eau de Parfum because it wears longer than the Eau de Toilette.  The scent is powerful upon application, but mellows out considerably within a half hour into a comfortable daytime scent.  Unfortunately, it pretty much dissipates after about six hours, so I'm considering picking up the Daisy Eau de Toilette Rollerball for touchups throughout my day.

Big thanks to Santa for bringing me a bottle of this.  If anyone has any opinions on this scent, or whether or not I should invest in the EdT rollerball, please share!  Happy Wednesday!
